Thanks again Mike and Sweetwater! Wow! I've been playing 50 years. The Classic Player Baja Telecaster sports a Custom Shop Twisted Tele neck pickup and a Broadcaster bridge pickup. I recommend Sweetwater to all my friends. And of course, the traditional Tele sounds are there, which is why you were looking at this in the first place. The baja is the only Tele with this neck. The various array of pickup configurations which are possible, working along with the tone, and volume controls, give you an endless array of sounds, all of which are achievable, without ever having to engage a pedal. So many tone options on here, easy to get almost any sound you need. I use pedals to give tone character for each style. Was hawking Sweetwaters website daily for a nice light one to pop up then pulled the trigger. The 4 way switch adding the pickups in series is useful and the S1 switch reversing the polarity of one of the pickups is just plain fun. My one concern with this guitar was the thin specs on the nut. If you are looking for a gigging utility guitar this desrves a look. When I pulled the clear plastic off the pickguard, the black pickguard pulled up and caused a slight crack around one of the screws. Final Thoughts: If you want a Tele you owe it to yourself to check this one out.
